Work in Progress: Petal Light II

I've started a new painting of Bird of Paradise, experimenting with orange-blue complementary color scheme. So far, the underpainting stage is going smoothly, and I really like the wonderful granulations formed by French Ultramarine mingled with Burnt Sienna and Burnt Umber.

  2. Arena, I LOVE following your blog! Your watercolors are exquisite. I'm trying watercolors and find your blog very inspirational. Your step-by-step explanations of your work help so much.
One suggestion--flower petals are spelled with a "t", not a "d". A pedal is something you step on, like a brake pedal, a piano pedal or a bike pedal. Hope you don't mind this. ;)
